Wrapping your vehicle, whether a full colour change or individual parts, is completely legal.
If you opt for a full colour change then it is a legal requirement to inform the DVLA of this change. The process involves
updating your registration certificate (V5C). In 2017, the DVLA changed its stance on full vehicle wraps, deeming them a permanent change and the DVLA requires all vehicle owners to report this.
No – a vinyl wrap will not
hide the imperfections of your paintwork. The vinyl itself is reasonably thick
however defects such as chips, rust and poor paintwork will partially show through.
If any body work is required prior to a wrap, we can advise on this to ensure a sleek finish after the wrap process.
– Keeps the original paintwork of your car whilst changing the colour
– Change the colour as often as you like
– Less costly than a full respray
– Protects the paintwork of your vehicle from stone chips, minor scratches and damages.
– Reversible process which allows the vehicle to be converted back to stock.
If the bodywork of the vehicle is in good condition,
then the vinyl will not damage your paintwork during application and after removal.
Car wraps are not permanent and are a temporary colour change.
Branded vinyl has a life-span of approximately 3-5 years.
